Dri-Eaz Stryker Extraction Wand

The Dri-Eaz Stryker is a flood extraction wand built to significantly improve extraction efficiency on water-damaged carpet. A patent-pending glide creates a powerful seal to maximise carpet compression, and the 2 in. diameter tube maintains maximum airflow to ensure deep extraction from all carpet types. Dri-Eaz state it cuts up to a third off extraction time, with less strain on your back than traditional carpet wands.

Why a Dedicated Flood Wand?

A standard cleaning wand is built to rinse and recover a thin film of solution. Flood extraction is the opposite job: pulling as much standing and absorbed water as possible out of carpet and underlay before drying equipment goes in. Every litre removed by extraction is a litre the dehumidifiers do not have to remove from the air, so extraction quality directly shortens drying time.

The Stryker's wide head and sealing glide compress the carpet so vacuum pulls water up through the pile, and the view window lets you see when the stroke is no longer recovering water.

What It Connects To

The Stryker runs on a 2 in. vacuum line from a flood extractor, a truckmount or a flood pumper. US distributors sell it for use with the Dri-Eaz HVE 3000 flood extractor and truckmount booster — CCW stocks the Dri-Eaz HVE 3000 Flood Pumper 230V/50Hz. Performance depends on the vacuum source: the wand cannot recover more water than the machine behind it can lift.

Where the Figures Differ

• Length: 52 in. (132 cm) from Legend Brands (Dri-Eaz's parent company) and most US distributors; some US distributors list the F511 as 61 in.
• Weight: Legend Brands' current extraction tool listing (part 104221, with the same feature description) gives 3.7 kg (8.2 lb); US distributors list the F511 (part 103646) at 12 lb (5.4 kg). The two part numbers may be different production versions. Ask us if weight matters for your crew.

Operating Advice

• Work slow, overlapping pull strokes. Watch the view window and keep passing over an area until it stops recovering water.
• Use the vacuum release lever at the end of each stroke instead of tilting the head — it saves your back and avoids breaking the seal mid-stroke.
• After Category 2 or 3 water, clean and disinfect the head, glide and view window before the wand goes back in the vehicle. The view window removes for cleaning.
• Check the glide for wear, nicks and sharp edges at every job. A worn glide loses the seal that makes this wand work and can snag carpet.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use it with my truckmount or portable extractor?

It needs a 2 in. vacuum connection and enough vacuum to lift water through a 2 in. line. Truckmounts and dedicated flood extractors suit it; a small portable may not have the vacuum to make use of it. Tell us your machine and we will advise.

Is the glide replaceable?

Yes. The glide is replaceable. A replacement glide is not listed on our website — contact us and we will source one.

Is it suitable for hard floors?

It is designed for carpet, where the glide compresses the pile. For hard floors, a squeegee-style tool is the better choice.

Does it apply solution?

No. It is a vacuum-only extraction wand for water recovery, not a cleaning wand.
