Roof work is where cases earn their money
Roof surveys mean ladders, uneven substrates and long carries. A foam-lined rigid case is the difference between an instrument that survives the season and one that quietly drifts out of calibration halfway through it.
For the RWS alone with its extension handle, the lighter EZ carry case is enough.

The single meter cases are sized to one instrument, so a CMEX5 does not fit the standard pouch and the larger version exists for that reason. If you are carrying a meter plus probes, liners and a cable, size up to an EZ or heavy duty case rather than forcing the meter into a case with no room for the accessories.
