Tramex heavy duty carry case, die-cut foam
Rigid case with die-cut foam lining, for up to two instruments and some accessories.
Fitment
Die-cut foam versus a padded bag
Foam that is cut to the instrument holds it in one position. A padded bag lets the meter move, and movement is what does the damage on a rough vehicle floor. For instruments that go into a report — concrete moisture meters especially — the foam case is the one that keeps the calibration you paid for.
Need room for more accessories? The larger heavy duty case takes the same two instruments plus numerous accessories. For the RWS, see the RWS heavy duty case.
Which Tramex case fits which instrument
| Case | Holds |
| Single meter case | One meter: ME5, CME5, MEP, CME4, CMEX2, MRH3 |
| Larger single meter case | One meter: CMEX5 |
| Single meter case, PTM2 | One meter: PTM2 |
| Single meter case, dataloggers | One logger: DL-RHTA or DL-RHTX |
| EZ carry case | Two smaller meters, or one plus accessories: MRH3, CMEX2 |
| EZ carry case, larger | One larger instrument plus accessories: PTM2, CMEX5 |
| RWS carry case | RWS Roof and Wall Scanner with extension handle |
| Heavy duty case | Two instruments plus some accessories: CMEX5, ME5, CME5 |
| Heavy duty case, larger | Two instruments plus numerous accessories |
| Heavy duty case, RIK | Roofing Inspector Kit instruments |
The single meter cases are sized to one instrument, so a CMEX5 does not fit the standard pouch and the larger version exists for that reason. If you are carrying a meter plus probes, liners and a cable, size up to an EZ or heavy duty case rather than forcing the meter into a case with no room for the accessories.
