Check the model before ordering
Tramex makes several single-meter cases and they are not interchangeable. The larger case is for the CMEX5; the PTM2 case is for the PTM2; and the datalogger case is for the DL-RHTA and DL-RHTX.
Why the case matters on a calibrated instrument
A moisture meter that has been knocked around in a toolbox still switches on and still shows a number. Impact damage to a non-invasive meter shows up as drift, not as an obvious fault, and drift is only found by someone who checks against a calibration check plate. The case is cheaper than the meter and much cheaper than a disputed reading.
Why a fitted case rather than a toolbox
These are calibrated instruments. What kills them is not one dramatic drop but constant small movement in a van – connectors working loose, pins bending, electrode faces getting scuffed. A case sized to the instrument holds it still, and an instrument that has been held still holds its calibration.

The single meter cases are sized to one instrument, so a CMEX5 does not fit the standard pouch and the larger version exists for that reason. If you are carrying a meter plus probes, liners and a cable, size up to an EZ or heavy duty case rather than forcing the meter into a case with no room for the accessories.
