HydraMaster Solution Valve - Stem Assembly

Overview

Valve stem sub-assembly for the HydraMaster stainless solution valve, listed as Valve Stem Sub Assembly.

The stem carries the plunger and its sealing o-rings. Where a valve weeps or will not shut cleanly and the spring is sound, the stem assembly is the usual replacement.

What it contains

  • Plunger 107-129 (HM solution valve)
  • Ring keeper 139-003
  • O-ring 097-010 — large, valve plunger
  • O-ring 097-022 — small, solution valve flow meter
  • Snap ring 139-004

Where it is fitted

  • Solution valve assembly, with valve body 600-012-001, spring 155-003 and brass cap 027-001

STEM ASSEMBLY HYDRAMASTER SOLUTION VALVE

Stem assembly or o-ring kit?

Two parts service the same valve and they are not the same repair.

  • O-ring kit 078-019 — where the seals are worn but the plunger and stem are sound. The cheaper repair, and the right one most of the time.
  • This stem assembly — where the plunger is scored or pitted, or the ring keeper or snap ring is damaged. New seals on a scored plunger will not last.

Inspect the plunger before you order. If the sealing surface is marked, the o-ring kit will buy you weeks rather than years.

Frequently asked questions

Does it include the o-rings?

Yes — 097-010 (large, plunger) and 097-022 (small, flow meter) are both part of the assembly, along with the plunger, ring keeper and snap ring.

Should I replace the spring at the same time?

If the valve was slow to shut off rather than weeping, yes. Going back into a valve for a second part costs more in downtime than the spring is worth.

Do you stock the complete valve?

Not as a listed line. Tell us your machine model and serial number and we will work out what you need.
