How an Injection Sprayer Works
The sprayer connects to your machine's solution line and draws concentrate from its own jug, metering it into the flow. You fill the jug with concentrate, not with mixed solution — the sprayer does the mixing.
Dilution depends on line pressure as well as the metering setting. Higher pressure draws proportionally less chemical, so the same setting gives a weaker mix at high pressure than at low pressure. Thick concentrates also draw more slowly. If a mix looks weak, check pressure, concentrate viscosity and the filter before assuming a fault.
Injection or Pump-Up?
An injection sprayer needs a running machine and a solution hose. For spraying away from the machine, or for chemistry you would not put through the machine, use a pump-up sprayer such as TWBS The World's Best Sprayer 8 L. Most operators end up with both.
Big Mouth or Hydro-Force?
CCW also stocks the Hydro-Force Pro (AS08) and Plus (AS08P) injection sprayers. They do the same job. The Big Mouth's point of difference is the large rear fill opening and Viton seals. The Hydro-Force sprayers have a published operating range and a full range of spare parts stocked by CCW. Parts are not interchangeable between brands unless CCW confirms it.
Operating Advice
- Confirm the sprayer suits your machine's working pressure and temperature before connecting it — ask CCW if you run a high-pressure truckmount.
- Fill with concentrate, not pre-mixed solution.
- Flush the sprayer through with clean water at the end of the day, and straight after strongly acidic, strongly alkaline or solvent-based products.
- Check the filter when a mix looks weak. A partly blocked filter reads as the wrong dilution.

Why Viton seals?
Viton is a fluoroelastomer seal material chosen for its resistance to heat and to a wide range of cleaning chemistry. Seals are usually the first thing chemistry attacks in a sprayer.
My mix is weaker than expected — why?
Usually line pressure. Higher pressure draws proportionally less chemical, and thick concentrates do the same. A partly blocked filter has the same effect.
Is it the same as the Hydro-Force Pro?
No. Both are 5 quart injection sprayers, but they are made by different manufacturers. Do not assume parts interchange.
