Temperature sender with 1/4 inch threads, listed by HydraMaster as Sender, s/w Temp.
It feeds the dash temperature gauge. A failed sender reads cold or pegs high while the machine is in fact running normally — worth confirming before chasing a heat fault that does not exist.

CCW part codes are the HydraMaster part number with the 000- prefix removed — this item is HydraMaster P/N 000-149-002.

Frequently asked questions
The gauge reads cold but the machine is hot. Sender or gauge?
Start with the sender. It is the cheaper part and the more common failure, and a sender that has gone open circuit reads cold regardless of actual temperature.
Is this the same as the high temperature shutdown sensor?
No. This sender feeds the dash gauge. The shutdown sensor is a separate switch with a fixed set point — different job, different part.
Can I test it before replacing it?
Yes, with a multimeter across the sender while the machine warms. Resistance should change smoothly with temperature. No change, or an open circuit, confirms it.
