What the Oscillating Nozzle Does
Hydro-Force states that the oscillating nozzle increases impact by 50 percent against a conventional flat spray — so 1,000 psi through this gun is described as having the effect of 1,500 psi through a flat tip.
That is the manufacturer's figure and the manufacturer's comparison. CCW has not independently verified it. The mechanism is real enough: a rotating or oscillating jet concentrates the same flow into a moving point rather than spreading it across a fan, which is why rotary nozzles are used on hard surface work generally.
Why It Matters on Tile and Grout
Around 1,000 psi is sufficient for tile and grout work, and going higher is not the answer to a floor that will not come up. A nozzle that gets more effect from the pressure you already have is a better route than turning the machine up — higher pressure on failed grout simply removes it.

Operating Advice
- Keep the nozzle moving and keep it square to the surface. A concentrated jet held still will mark grout, timber and softer stone.
- Stay inside 2,500 psi and 94 degrees C. Truckmount solution can exceed that temperature.
- Test on any unfamiliar surface before committing. A round concentrated pattern is more aggressive than the flat tip most operators are used to.
- Use the insulated extension. At 94 degrees C the metal is not something to hold.
Frequently Asked Questions
Will it damage grout?
Sound grout at sensible pressure, no. Failed or crumbling grout will come out regardless of the nozzle, and a concentrated pattern held in one place will accelerate that.
What pressure should I run?
Around 1,000 psi is sufficient for tile and grout. The gun is rated to 2,500 psi, which is headroom rather than a target.
Does the extension come with it?
Yes — a 60 cm insulated extension is included.
Can I use it on stone?
Carefully, and not on polished stone. Test first on anything you have not cleaned before.

Operators reach for more pressure when a floor will not come up, and pressure is rarely the missing ingredient. Dwell time, the right chemistry and agitation do more, and they do not risk the grout. A nozzle that makes better use of 1,000 psi is the sensible version of the same instinct.
