The Grout Wand is a sealer applicator. It lays the correct amount of sealer into a grout line in one pass: push down and sealer flows, let up and it stops.
It is not a cleaning tool. It applies sealer to grout that has already been cleaned and dried.
Important — Applicator, Not an Extraction Tool
A grout wand of this type has no vacuum and no spray jets. It does not clean grout and it does not recover anything.
The cleaning happens first, with a spinner or a hard surface tool and a grout brush. Sealer goes on afterwards, onto grout that is clean and dry. Sealing dirty or damp grout locks the soil and the moisture in, and the only remedy is stripping it back off.

Step 4 is the one that gets rushed. Sealer over damp grout will not bond and will cloud.
Built for Solvent-Based Sealers
Two durability changes matter on this tool, and both address how a sealer applicator actually fails:
- Improved sonic welding on the action head — the head is dragged along an abrasive grout line and is the part that wears.
- Solvent-resistant O-rings — solvent-based sealers destroy ordinary seals, and a leaking applicator puts sealer where you do not want it.

The manufacturer does not publish the wand length, the reservoir size or the line widths it suits. Rather than estimate them, we have left them out — tell us your grout width and the sealer you use and we will confirm.
Operating Advice
- Seal only clean, dry grout. This is the whole job, and it cannot be corrected afterwards.
- Work at a steady pace. The valve meters the sealer; hesitating floods the line and rushing starves it.
- Wipe sealer off the tile face as you go, before it flashes off. Sealer left on glazed tile is far harder to remove than it looks.
- Flush the wand out after solvent-based sealers, even with the solvent-resistant seals.
- Ventilate. Solvent-based sealers are a respiratory exposure in an enclosed bathroom.

Does it clean grout?
No. It applies sealer. Clean the grout first with a spinner or hard surface tool and a grout brush.
Can I use it with any sealer?
The seals are solvent resistant, so it suits solvent-based sealers as well as water-based. Tell us which product you use and we will confirm.
Why seal grout at all?
Cement grout is porous. Sealed grout resists staining and cleans far more easily next time, which is the difference between a maintainable floor and one that gets worse each visit.
What if I seal grout that is still damp?
The sealer will not bond properly and may cloud. It has to be stripped back and redone.
