PowerClean Coil Brite is a coil cleaner for air conditioning systems. It is part of the PowerClean air conditioning cleaning package. Cleaning a fouled coil restores airflow and heat transfer, which improves the system's overall performance.
Why coil cleaning matters commercially
A fouled coil restricts airflow and insulates the heat-exchange surface. The system works harder for less output, and running costs climb. On a commercial site, that shows up on the power bill long before anyone reports a comfort problem.
Use the right chemistry on the right coil
Coil cleaners are made acidic or alkaline for different deposits and different coil metals, and the wrong one etches aluminium fin. Read the label and the safety data sheet, and rinse thoroughly: residue left on a coil corrodes it between services.
Protect what is behind the coil
Protect electrical components, wall finishes and flooring before washing a coil in place. That is what the Mini-Split bib and the low tack tape are for.

Is Coil Brite acidic or alkaline?
Check the safety data sheet below before use. It sets out the chemistry, the PPE and any restrictions on coil metals.
Does it need rinsing?
Rinse coils thoroughly after cleaning. For in-place work where rinsing is impractical, Cobra is a no-rinse option.
Does it sanitise the unit?
We do not make sanitising claims for Coil Brite. It is sold as a coil cleaner. Earlier versions of this page said it sanitises the unit for a healthier environment; that claim has been removed.
