This is the adapter head alone. If you are assembling a Direct-It setup from scratch rather than replacing a damaged head, tell us and we will quote the complete arrangement. The complete kit is listed as the Injectidry Direct-It Universal Air Mover Adapter (Axial).
What the axial adapter does
It couples an axial air mover to the Direct-It hose system, turning a general-purpose air mover into a directed drying source. That is what makes Direct-It practical: you are using air movers you already own rather than buying a dedicated blower.
Match the adapter to the air mover. Axial and centrifugal machines have different outlet geometry and the adapters are not shared.
What It Fits
- Injectidry's Direct-It manual says the UAA2 attaches positively or negatively to 12, 14, 16 and 18 inch duct rings — axial fans and air scrubbers with collared openings.
- On an axial fan it is held with bungee cords. Used negatively on an air scrubber, it can be positioned without the cords.
- Newer Phoenix Guardian air scrubbers have no sheet metal collar. Injectidry's duct ring (ADPRING) lets the Direct-It sit on them.
- For standard (centrifugal) carpet air movers, the adapter is the Direct-It IN (UAA1), which attaches to the front of the air mover.
Check Before You Order
Injectidry's 2020 retail price list describes UAA2-AO as the "Direct-It IN Adapter Only" and UAA1-AO as the "Direct-It Adapter Only" — the reverse of the naming in Injectidry's Direct-It manual, where UAA2 is the duct-ring (axial) adapter and UAA1 is the Direct-It IN. CCW lists this head as the axial UAA2. Send us a photo of your existing adapter or the machine it sits on and we will confirm it is the right head.

Safety
- Injectidry says to wear ANSI-rated protective eyewear when handling any product with bungee cords, and not to stretch the cords beyond 50%.
- Use an adjustable drill stop when drilling for wall penetrators, so the bit cannot reach cables or pipes.
Frequently Asked Questions
Will it fit a standard carpet air mover?
No. It is for axial fans and air scrubbers with duct rings. Standard air movers take the Direct-It IN (UAA1).
Will it fit a Phoenix Guardian?
Older Guardians with a sheet metal collar, yes. Newer ones need the ADPRING duct ring.
Do I need anything else?
If you already own a Direct-It kit, no — the head replaces the one you have. If not, you need hose, cuffs and penetrators, and the complete kit is usually the simpler buy.
What warranty applies?
Injectidry's Direct-It manual gives a 1-year warranty excluding accidental damage, normal wear and unauthorised repairs. Confirm current terms with CCW.
