Safety
The Australian safety data sheet issued by Aberford Holdings (importer, trading as Carpet Cleaners Warehouse) classifies GrungeSlayer as a hazardous chemical and dangerous goods: signal word Danger; may be corrosive to metals; causes severe skin burns and eye damage (sodium hydroxide and sodium metasilicate; 1% solution pH 12); may cause an allergic skin reaction; may cause respiratory irritation; toxic to aquatic life with long lasting effects. Transport: UN 3262, Corrosive solid, basic, inorganic, n.o.s., Class 8, Packing Group I. Avoid breathing dust, wear chemical-resistant gloves, goggles and a face shield, add the powder to water (never water to powder), keep away from aluminium and galvanised fittings, and read the safety data sheet before first use.
