Replacement glide for the Westpak AW57 low-profile carpet wand, 1.5 inch (38 mm) tube with a 12 inch (30.5 cm), 4-jet head. Made by Westpak.
What a Glide Does
A glide fits over the wand head so the head slides across the carpet instead of dragging on it. The wand pushes and pulls more easily, the edges of the head are kept off the pile, and the head itself is protected from wear. Most operators notice it most on long days and on dense or cut-pile carpet, where an unglided head grabs.
Important: Match the Glide to Your Wand
This glide is made for the 1.5 x 12 inch low-profile AW57. CCW also lists a glide for the other AW57 size, and they are not interchangeable:
- This glide: Westpak AW57 low-profile wand, 1.5 x 12 inch, 4 jet (SKU AW57-1.5X12)
- Glide for the Westpak AW57 2 x 14 inch wand (SKU AW57-2X14-GLIDE)
Measure the head width before ordering: the 1.5 x 12 inch AW57 has a 30.5 cm (12 inch) head, the 2 x 14 inch a 35.5 cm (14 inch) head. Glides made for the 2-jet CMP AW29 are not interchangeable with either AW57.
Ordered In for You
This glide is not held in stock. We order it in when you place your order, so ask us for the current lead time if you need it by a set date.
Fitting and Care
- Fit the glide to a clean, dry head so debris is not trapped between glide and head.
- Check it sits evenly across the full width before the first job. A glide that rides high at one end changes how the head meets the carpet.
- Rinse it with the wand at the end of the day. Built-up residue on the glide drags just like an unglided head.
- Replace it when the underside is worn through, cracked or no longer sits flat.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does it fit the CMP AW29?
No. The AW29 is a 2-jet wand with its own glides. This glide is for the 4-jet AW57 1.5 x 12 inch low-profile head.
Does it fit the 2 x 14 inch AW57?
No. That wand takes its own glide, AW57-2X14-GLIDE.
Will it stop the low-profile head clearing furniture?
The glide adds to the head height. If clearance under a particular piece of furniture is tight, check it with the glide fitted.
Is it in stock?
