The Kingston Model 251-30 angled flow control valve offers quality and performance at pressures up to 1200 psi. It is the trigger valve used on newer CMP AW29 wands, and CCW also lists it for the AW57 and HydraMaster Evolution wands.
Sometimes referred to as the 'K' Valve, this high pressure flow control valve is made of a forged brass body with a stainless steel stem assembly. The 30 degree angle eliminates the cost and labour required to attach an additional 30 degree elbow fitting. Kingston describes the Model 251-30 as the recognised leader in durable, light-weight, high performance flow control.

Thread form is not stated by Aquatrol. US distributors list the connection as 1/4 inch NPT; confirm against your wand if you are replacing a different valve.

Repair parts: PK25130. CCW stocks this as the Repair Kit for 251-30 Kingston Valve (PKI25130).
A weld on hanger is available: the Weld On Bracket for 251-30 Wand Valve (PCMPBK25130). This page previously gave the hanger's part number as PCMPV1175, which is the number of this valve; the weld-on hanger is PCMPBK25130.
Bolt-on brackets suit the 251-30 without welding. Match the bracket to your wand tube:
- 1.5 inch bolt-on bracket (PMVAC10-0013) — AW29 and AW57
- 1.75 inch bolt-on bracket (PMVAC10-0019)
- 2 inch bolt-on bracket (PMVAC10-0020)
Fitting Advice
- Turn the machine off, release pressure from the solution line and disconnect the wand before working on the valve.
- Seal the threads with a sealant suitable for hot water and chemical service, and do not over-tighten into the forged brass body.
- Run clean water through the wand and check for leaks at the valve and fittings before the first job.
Frequently Asked Questions
My valve drips. Do I need a new one?
Usually not. A dripping 251-30 is a seat or seal, and the PKI25130 repair kit rebuilds it. Replace the valve when the body or stem is damaged.
Can I use it on a heated truckmount?
Yes, within its ratings: up to 1200 psi and 107°C. Check your machine's maximum pressure and outlet temperature.
Is the bracket included?
No. This is the valve only. Order the weld-on hanger or the bolt-on bracket that matches your tube size.
Is this the same as the Westpak Soft Touch valve?
No. The Westpak Soft Touch brass valve (AW791) and stainless valve (AW792) are different valves. The same bolt-on brackets suit both.
