FiberPlus MAX pads are a moderately aggressive pad that's ideal for scrubbing dense commercial carpeting. These grey-coloured synthetic pads are well suited for scrubbing loop commercial carpets with strong agitation.
The FiberPlus MAX pads are made for digging dirt out of the carpet. On a challenging commercial carpet, the MAX pads will increase your productivity by approximately 20% (the US supplier quotes the same figure). FiberPlus MAX pads can also be used for hard-floor maintenance cleaning.
This listing is a box of fifteen 8 inch (20 cm) pads. CCW lists this size for CIMEX machines, which run several small pad drivers at once — check the pad size on your heads before ordering.
Important: Commercial Loop Carpet Only
Caution: Because the FiberPlus MAX pads are aggressive you should exercise care when using them on carpeting. Only use the FiberPlus MAX pads on durable commercial loop carpeting. And don't allow the machine to remain running on the same spot — keep the machine moving at all times.
For cut-pile carpet, sturdy residential carpet or lighter soil, use the standard FiberPlus Pads 8 Inch (Beige/Cream) instead.
Why Scrub the Carpet with Pads Rather than Brushes?
Consider this illustration. You have a greasy frying pan to clean. You could get it clean by scrubbing it with a scrub brush, but if you scrub it with one of those green kitchen pads the pan will clean up even easier.
Why? Because the pads make more surface contact. So when we scrub a carpet with a pad the same principle holds true. We have better agitation and we use less solution to get the job done.

How Long They Last
FiberPlus Max pads will last approximately 560 square metres per installation when used for carpet cleaning. The same figure appears on CCW's 17 inch MAX listing, and the US supplier quotes roughly 7,000 ft² (about 650 m²) per 17 inch pad. It is not stated whether the figure applies per 8 inch pad or per set of pads on a multi-head machine — treat it as a guide and track your own pad life.
Replace pads when they wear down to 1/4 inch (6 mm) thickness.
Using FiberPlus MAX Pads
- Vacuum thoroughly first. Dry soil removed before scrubbing is soil the pad does not have to carry.
- Check the carpet is commercial loop pile and test in an inconspicuous area.
- Pre-spray with your encapsulation or scrubbing detergent — see Encapsulation & Bonnet Cleaning Chemicals.
- Fit a pad to each 8 inch (20 cm) pad driver, centred, and replace all of them together so the heads wear evenly.
- Scrub in overlapping passes and keep the machine moving. Never let it sit running in one spot.
- Check pad thickness regularly and replace at 6 mm.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I use MAX pads on residential carpet?
Not recommended. They are aggressive and intended for durable commercial loop carpet only. Use the standard beige FiberPlus pad or a bonnet on residential and cut-pile carpet.
What size do I need?
Match the pad to your pad driver. This is the 8 inch (20 cm) pad. CCW also stocks the 17 inch MAX pad (box of 5) for 17 inch pad drivers.
Can I use them on hard floors?
Yes, for maintenance cleaning. Test first on soft or finished floors.
Are they washable?
FiberPlus does not publish laundering instructions, so CCW makes no claim. Wear to 6 mm thickness is the replacement point.
