Why grey rubber
Grey non-marking rubber does not leave black scuffs on a customer's floor. It is worth checking that replacement castors match — a machine with three grey wheels and one black one will still mark.
Locking or non-locking?
This is the non-locking version. A machine that needs to stay put on a slope or a smooth floor wants at least one locking castor. Tell us the machine and we will confirm which positions take which.
Fitting advice
- Drain both tanks and support the machine securely before you take any weight off a castor.
- Compare the mounting plate and hole pattern with the old castor before you start.
- Check the mounting points in the base while the castor is off. Fixings that have worked loose once will do it again if the holes have worn.
- If one castor has worn or seized, check the others — they have done the same work.

The grey rubber wheel is used because it does not leave black marks. Keep the wheels clean — grit picked up on a job will scratch a polished floor whatever the tyre colour.
