G3 Cordless Sprayer 12V
The G3 Cordless Sprayer is affordable and packed with the desired features. It is Stain Out System's (SOS) 2.5 gallon (9.5 L) battery sprayer, part number 71-202-G3, built around a time-tested Aquatec 120 psi pump and a 12 V × 6 Ah slide-in battery.
G3 or Gentoo?
Stain Out System have discontinued the Gentoo sprayer and replaced it with the G3. This listing has carried the Gentoo name; what CCW supplies under AS76-SOS-G3 is the G3. SOS note that G3 2.5 gallon jugs are a different size and do not fit a Gentoo, so do not order a G3 jug or handle as a spare for an old Gentoo without asking us first.

Charging in Australia
SOS describe their charger as a smart charger for a 120 V outlet, taking up to several hours, and recommend charging daily in a temperature-controlled space. CCW supplies an Australian-plug replacement charger — Battery Charger SOS Gentoo Sprayer (E-005-A-SOS-AU). If you are unsure which charger came with your sprayer, ask us before plugging in.
Operating Advice
- Pump pressure is fixed. If you want more or less output, change the jet size rather than looking for an adjustment.
- Empty and rinse the unit after use — SOS make this a warranty condition.
- Do not let it freeze, and keep it out of a hot vehicle between jobs.
- Check chemical compatibility before you spray. SOS state that solvents and degreasers void the warranty.
Warranty Exclusions (SOS)
The SOS manual excludes O-rings, gaskets and switches, damage from chemical incompatibility and freezing, and use with solvents or degreasers. Confirm current terms with CCW before you rely on them.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I spray solvent spotters or degreaser through it?
No. SOS state that solvents and degreasers void the warranty. Use a sprayer built for solvents for that work.
Is the upholstery sprayer included?
No. The lance holder has a place for one, but it is sold separately.
How is it different from the Penguin?
The SOS Penguin carries 5 gallons (18.9 L) and comes with an upholstery gun and a 10 ft hose. The G3 is the smaller, lighter unit for jobs where you would rather refill than carry the weight.
My old Gentoo needs parts. Can I use G3 parts?
Not all of them. SOS say the jugs are different sizes. Tell us what you have and we will check.
