Repair before replacement
HydraMaster list a valve repair kit for the DriMaster tool — 078-371 — which is the first thing to try on a valve that is stiff, weeping or not shutting off cleanly. It is not currently a stocked CCW line; ask us if you need one.
A ball valve that has gone stiff is almost always seats and lubrication rather than a failed body. A ball valve that weeps when closed is seats. Neither necessarily means a new valve.
Operating advice
Use it properly and it lasts. A quarter-turn ball valve is designed to be fully open or fully closed — using it half-open as a flow control wears a groove in the seats at that position and it will never seal again.
If you want less flow at the tool, change the jet, not the valve position.
Close it before you disconnect the solution line, not after.
Maintenance
Flush the tool through with clean water at the end of the day. Detergent residue drying in a ball valve is what turns a smooth valve into a stiff one.
Clean the inline filter on the DriMaster weekly — HydraMaster call this out specifically in the tool manual. A blocked filter puts the valve and the whole tool under strain it does not need.

My valve has gone stiff. Do I need a new one?
Probably not. Flush it, and try the repair kit (078-371) before replacing the valve.
It drips when closed. Is that the valve or the tool?
If it drips with the valve fully closed, it is the valve seats. If it drips only after the trigger is released, look at the solution valve instead.
Can I use it to control flow?
No. Fully open or fully closed. Part-open positions destroy the seats.
