PTFE glide for the Sapphire 12 inch titanium wand, external fit. Sapphire part number 67-085.
What it fits
Sapphire's equipment schedule lists 67-085 as the PTFE 12" glide for wand 67-082 — Wand, 12" Low Profile 4-Jet Titanium Standard. CCW's own record also notes it fits older 12 inch Sapphire wands.
Important: the 14 inch wands take a different glide — 67-084, for wands 67-080 and 67-081. Measure the head, do not order by machine.
External fit — check yours
This is the external fit glide, wrapping around the outside of the head's metal lips. Internal-fit glides sit inside the lips and are a different part. If you have not replaced a glide on this wand before, measure the lips or send us a photo first.
Why PTFE
PTFE's low friction against carpet fibre makes the wand noticeably easier to work over a long day, and an easier wand gets worked at a more even speed — which is what produces even cleaning. It also lifts the head clear of the pile, protecting delicate fibres from the edge of a bare stainless head.
Wear and replacement
Replace a glide when the face has worn thin enough to lose the vacuum seal, when it has picked up a groove or burr that could mark carpet, or when an edge has started to lift.
A worn glide costs recovery before it costs appearance. If drying times have crept up and nothing else changed, look at the glide before you look at the machine.
Check the fixings whenever you fit one.

Which wand does it fit?
Sapphire's 12 inch low profile 4-jet titanium wand, 67-082, and older 12 inch Sapphire wands.
Will it fit a 14 inch wand?
No. That takes 67-084.
Internal or external fit?
External.
Can I trim one to fit a different wand?
We would not recommend it. A glide that does not seat correctly loses the vacuum seal it exists to maintain, which defeats the purpose of fitting one.
