Wagner build pinless meters for people who cannot put holes in what they are measuring — finished timber, flooring stock, and slabs that a flooring warranty depends on.

The range splits cleanly in two: Orion pinless wood meters for timber, and the Rapid RH system for in-situ concrete relative humidity to the flooring standards.

Wood testing covers the Orion 910 deep depth, 920 shallow depth, 930 dual depth and 940 data collection kits, and the L622 handheld digital recording meter with its L722 stack probe handles, extension cable, top cases and the "L" series calibration verification block. Concrete testing covers the C555 handheld concrete moisture meter kit, the WFP405 Rapid RH L6 professional flooring kit, the Professional Flooring Installer Kit, and Smart Sensors in 25 packs.

How to choose

Depth setting is the whole point of the Orion range. Shallow reads the surface layer; deep reads further into the board. The 930 does both, which matters when you are checking whether a floor is drying evenly or just on top.

Pinless does not mean no preparation. The meter reads a volume beneath the sensor, so the surface must be flat, clean and free of metal. Readings taken over a fastener are meaningless.

Rapid RH is a system, not a meter. Smart Sensors are placed in the slab and left to equilibrate, then read. Budget the sensors per test hole into the job — they are consumable.

Calibrate before the job that matters. The "L" series verification block exists so a reading can be shown to be true on the day it was taken.
