Product Overview
The short internal vacuum hose for the Hydro-Force SX-12. Hydro-Force list it simply as the 9 inch hose; the full dimensions are 1 inch bore by 9 inches long — 25mm by 230mm.
It is a small part in a hard place: it flexes every time the head moves and it carries hot wet waste air, so it perishes long before the rest of the tool.
Symptoms of a Failing Hose
A split or perished internal hose loses vacuum inside the tool rather than at the floor, so the symptom is confusing — the machine sounds normal, the skirt looks fine, and recovery is poor anyway.
If you have checked the brush ring and the relief setting and the tool still will not pick up, look at this hose before you look at the machine.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is it 23cm or 9cm?
23cm. It is 9 inches long, which converts to 23 centimetres. If you have seen 9cm quoted anywhere it is a conversion error.
Can I use generic hose?
The bore and length are matched to the tool. A generic substitute usually kinks where this one is shaped to sit.
Recovery is poor but the skirt is good. Could it be this?
Yes. An internal leak loses vacuum before it ever reaches the floor.

What We See in the Field
The short internal vacuum hose lives in a hot, wet, constantly flexing part of the tool. A split can be small enough to hide inside the head while still robbing recovery and leaving more water on the floor.
