How the Adaptidry Works
The ADP-9 is a nine-port dome that sits on the duct ring of a high-pressure air mover or air scrubber. Ducting runs from each port to a wall vent fixed along the base of a wall, cabinet kick or floor edge. The machine then does one of two jobs:
- Push (positive pressure): dry air is directed through the wall vents into the wall cavity or under the cabinets.
- Pull (negative suction): air is extracted from the wall cavity or area needing circulation and passed through the machine. On an air scrubber, that air goes through its filters before it returns to the room.
Injectidry describes it as a way to move air through multiple areas at once without drilling holes in walls.

This list matches Injectidry's Adaptidry manual. Injectidry's newer product sheet describes the pack differently (six 4 in x 25 ft Mylar ducting lengths, two 4 in tees and an ADP ring). The total ducting length is the same (150 ft, approx. 45.7 m). Ask us if you need to know exactly what is in current stock.
NOTE: The newer model Phoenix Thermastor Guardians no longer have a sheet metal collar for the intake. To adapt the ADP-9 to the newer style Guardian or the older style without the collar, place the separate ring provided on the face of the Guardian port (on top of the unit) and then place the ADP-9 onto it.
Both Injectidry documents list the ring with the ADP-9, but Injectidry also sells it separately, as does CCW. Confirm with us whether the ring is in the box if you run a newer Guardian.
Drying Capacity
- Approximately 32 linear feet (approx. 9.75 m) as packaged, per Injectidry's manual. Injectidry's product sheet gives 22 linear feet with vents back to back, or 32 linear feet with vents spaced 12 in (approx. 30 cm) apart.
- Gaps of up to one foot (approx. 30 cm) between vents still give acceptable pressure (Injectidry).
- Maximum coverage is 54 feet (approx. 16.5 m) using eighteen 2 ft wall vents (Injectidry). The standard kit has nine; extra vents are not included.
Setting Up
- Seat the ADP-9 on the machine's duct ring (fit the ring adapter first on a collarless Guardian).
- Run a duct from each port to its wall vent and secure both ends with the turnkey clamps.
- Place wall vents along the wet wall, cabinet kick or floor edge. On positive pressure, screw the vents to the wall. On negative pressure, Injectidry says screws are not needed.
- Check every duct joint. A loose clamp is an easy path for the air, and the vent at the end of it does little.
- Take and record moisture readings at the start and each visit, so the drying log shows what the system achieved.
Safety: Injectidry's manual requires protective eyewear when fitting, and warns not to stretch cords more than 50% or towards your body, as the hooks can rebound.
HEPA Filtration
Fitted to a HEPA air scrubber, the ADP-9 routes the air it moves through the scrubber's filters. The filtration is only as good as the scrubber, its filters and their seals, and the system is only as tight as the duct joints. It is a drying accessory, not containment. Where a job needs containment and negative pressure, set that up separately.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is an air mover or air scrubber included?
No. The system is the dome, vents, ducting and fittings. You supply the machine, such as the Dry Air Max Force or a Phoenix Guardian.
Do I have to drill the wall?
No. The wall vents sit on the surface and move air along the base of the wall. That is the point of the Adaptidry compared with injection systems that need holes.
Should I push or pull?
Both work. Pull draws air out of the cavity and, on a HEPA scrubber, through the filters. Push forces dry air in and needs the vents screwed to the wall. The ADP-9 can also be used in a push-pull setup.
What is the difference from the 5 port Adaptidry?
The ADP-9 runs nine ducts from one machine; the Adaptidry 5 Port runs five. Choose on the length of wall and cabinetry you need to dry per machine.
Will it fit my air mover?
If the machine has a round duct ring of 12, 14 or 16 inch, it should seat. Send us the make and model and we will confirm.
