Why the plastics matter on a chemical machine
Every one of these parts is what stands between coil cleaning chemistry and either the electrics or the operator. A cracked cap lets concentrate slop out in the van; a missing battery door lets chemical mist reach the terminals. Neither looks urgent and both end in a machine that is written off rather than repaired.

While the base is off
SpeedClean's own troubleshooting sends you under the base for two common faults, so check both before you close it up:
- Chemical not mixing: SpeedClean suggests removing the base to look for an obstruction in the drain lines from the chemical tank.
- Unit will not power on: the 15 A fuse sits in a yellow in-line holder in the base of the unit, reached by removing the six screws on the bottom cover. Look for loose or chemical-damaged wiring at the same time.
Fitting advice
- Switch the unit off, relieve the pressure at the gun and drain both tanks.
- Remove the battery door and disconnect the battery before working near the wiring.
- Photograph the hose and wire routing before lifting the tank and pump assembly.
- Transfer the assembly to the new plate, refit all fixings, reconnect the battery (red to positive, black to negative) and run a leak check with water before using chemical.

Is a cracked base worth replacing?
Yes. The base carries the full weight of the machine — SpeedClean gives about 52 lb (roughly 24 kg) filled — and a cracked base lets the tank and pump shift, which is how fittings and wiring get strained.
Does it come with screws?
Not stated. Reuse the original fixings if they are sound, or ask us.
