PMF stubby check strainer for 1/8 inch VeeJets
A combined strainer and check valve that fits behind a 1/8 inch VeeJet. PMF lists it as a stainless steel strainer/check valve for 1/8 inch VeeJets (PMF H46-1/8CK). It does two jobs at once: the check valve stops the jet dripping when the trigger is released, and the strainer keeps debris out of the orifice.

Why dripping matters more than it looks
A jet that drips between passes puts uncontrolled water into the carpet at the start of every stroke. On wool or a solution-sensitive fibre, that is where over-wetting and wick-back begin. It also wastes solution.
The strainer half is the one that saves the call-out. A partially blocked jet does not stop working — it sprays slightly off pattern, and the streaking gets blamed on technique.
Check the jet size before ordering
This is the 1/8 inch version. For 1/4 inch VeeJets use the PMF strainer check valve for 1/4 inch VeeJets. They are not interchangeable.
Frequently asked questions
How do I tell a 1/8 inch VeeJet from a 1/4 inch one?
The size refers to the jet's thread. Check the stamping on the jet body, or send us a photo with a ruler alongside.
The jet still drips with a check strainer fitted. Why?
Debris lodged on the check valve seat will hold it open. Remove and clean the strainer. If the drip continues, replace it.
Does PMF also sell a strainer without the check valve?
Yes. PMF lists a plain strainer for 1/8 inch VeeJets (H43). CCW does not list it online, so contact us if you need one.
