Replacement alternative to the SpeedClean sealed lead acid battery for the CoilJet. This is a Giantz AGM battery, 12 V 15 Ah deep cycle.
It is not the genuine SpeedClean battery. SpeedClean lists its own replacement as part CJ-9613, a 12 V sealed lead acid battery. This Giantz battery is the same chemistry family (AGM is a type of sealed lead acid) and the same nominal voltage, which is why CCW supplies it as an alternative.
Important: Check the Fit Before You Order
A battery can match on voltage and still not suit your machine. Before ordering, check against your old battery:
- Size — this battery is listed at 15 × 10 × 10 cm. Measure the old battery and the battery compartment.
- Terminals — this battery has bolt-down terminals. Check how your CoilJet's leads connect to the old battery.
- Machine — this listing is for the SpeedClean CoilJet CJ-125, which CCW lists as running on a 12 V deep cycle rechargeable sealed lead acid battery.
SpeedClean has revised CoilJet components over time. If you are unsure, send us the model and serial number, or a photo of the old battery label and terminals.

Charging and Battery Care
A sealed battery cannot be topped up, so how it is charged decides how long it lasts.
- Use a charger made for sealed lead acid / AGM batteries, with a proper float stage. CCW stocks the SpeedClean 12 V 3 A battery charger for the CJ-125.
- Recharge after every use. Deep cycle batteries tolerate discharge, but leaving one flat is what sulfates it.
- Store the machine charged, and top the charge up every few months if it sits over winter.
- Keep it out of extreme heat. Giantz rates storage to 50°C, but heat shortens battery life.
SpeedClean says a charge from empty takes about 3.5–4 hours on its own battery; charge time on this battery depends on the charger and has not been published for the CJ-125.
Fitting
- Switch the CoilJet off and disconnect the charger.
- Note or photograph which lead goes to which terminal before disconnecting.
- Disconnect the negative (−) lead first, then the positive (+).
- Fit the new battery, connect positive (+) first, then negative (−), and tighten the terminals.
- Secure the battery so it cannot move in the compartment, then refit the battery door.
- Charge fully before first use.
Take the old battery to a battery recycler. Lead acid batteries should not go in general waste.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is this the genuine SpeedClean battery?
No. It is a Giantz AGM battery supplied by CCW as an alternative. SpeedClean's genuine part is CJ-9613.
Will it give the same run time?
Run time depends on capacity, battery condition and how you use the machine. SpeedClean says the CoilJet runs up to 12 tanks on one charge with its battery. This battery's run time in the CJ-125 has not been tested by CCW.
My CoilJet will not run with a new battery. What else should I check?
Check the terminals are tight and the right way round, then the fuse in the wiring harness. SpeedClean's own guidance is that a fully charged battery should read between 11 and 14 volts.
Can I use it in other equipment?
It is a general 12 V 15 Ah AGM deep cycle battery, so it may suit other equipment. Check size, terminals and charger compatibility for that equipment.
