This is the body only — the housing the strainer screen sits inside and that a jet cap or quick connect threads onto. It is one part of a three-piece in-line strainer (adapter, screen and body), and the stainless steel version of the brass NA0802 body.

Filter at the tool, not just at the tank
A tank filter catches what goes in. What blocks a jet is usually what came off the inside of a hose, a fitting or the tank itself after that point. A strainer immediately upstream of the jets is the one that actually stops clogging.
A partially blocked jet does not stop working. It sprays off pattern, and the streaking gets blamed on the operator’s technique.
How the Strainer Assembly Goes Together
Working from the solution line towards the jet: strainer adapter, strainer screen, strainer body (this part), then your quick connect or jet cap. All three parts are needed for a working filter, and each is sold separately.

Brass or Stainless?
Stainless earns its price where acidic tile and grout chemistry is routine. Brass is adequate for carpet cleaning solution at normal pressure and temperature, and it is cheaper. If you are moving to stainless because of acid chemistry, change the whole assembly rather than one piece.
Operating Advice
- Clean the screen at the same interval you check jets, not when flow drops.
- When a spray pattern goes wrong, check the strainer first — it is upstream of everything else.
- These are 1/4 inch threads, and equipment in Australia arrives with both NPT and BSP. The manufacturer does not state the thread form, so tell us what you are connecting to if you are mixing equipment.
