ODORx Double-O™ Double-strength odour counteractant eliminates stubborn protein odours.

Double-O is a blend of powerful odour control counteractants, solvents, and detergents that reduce the spread of odour-causing molecules into the environment.

What Double-O Is For

Double-O is specially formulated to eliminate the stubborn protein odours resulting from kitchen fires, burned meat, spoiled food, and more.

Double-O is also highly effective against sewage-related odours and for water damage restoration.

Protein residue from burnt food is often thin and hard to see, and the odour stays in it until it is cleaned off or treated. Legend Brands' directions use Double-O two ways: sprayed onto the odour sources, and added to the wall and fibre cleaning solutions so cleaning and deodorising happen in the same pass.

What It Is Not

• Not a replacement for cleaning. Odour held in residue comes back if the residue stays. Clean the affected surfaces as part of the job.
• Not a disinfectant. Legend Brands make no antimicrobial claim for Double-O. On sewage losses, follow the cleaning and sanitising steps your procedure calls for with a product registered for that use.
• Not a fogging product. Legend Brands' directions cover compression and airless sprayers and cleaning-solution use only; they do not describe fogging. For thermal fogging, use a product labelled for it, such as ODORx Thermo-55.

Use Instructions

• Double-O can be applied with a compression sprayer or an airless paint sprayer.
• Mixing: Add 3–4 ounces of Double-O per gallon of lukewarm tap water.
• Application: Spray onto sources of odour with pressure sprayer. Add to wall and fibre cleaning solutions as needed. Apply with a compression sprayer or an airless paint sprayer.

Double-O contains d-limonene and other solvents. Pre-test on painted finishes, sensitive dyes and fabrics in an inconspicuous spot before treating a whole area.

Safety

The Safety Data Sheet on this page is Legend Brands' Canadian (WHMIS 2015) SDS for product 103906, dated 5 June 2025. An Australian-format SDS is not yet on file. Read the SDS before use.

• Signal word: Warning. Flammable liquid Category 3 (flash point 53 °C), skin irritant Category 2, skin sensitiser Category 1 — may cause an allergic skin reaction.
• Declared ingredients include dipropylene glycol (15–40%), d-limonene (15–40%), o-chlorotoluene (7–13%) and ethoxylated alcohol surfactants.
• Keep the concentrate and solution away from heat, sparks, open flames and hot surfaces. On fire jobs, make sure ignition sources are isolated before you start spraying.
• Wear gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses with side shields (AS/NZS 1337.1 in Australia). Contaminated work clothing should not leave the workplace.
• Work with good ventilation. Where ventilation is inadequate, wear respiratory protection selected to AS/NZS 1716 and AS/NZS 1715 — for example a 3M 7500 series half-face respirator with 3M 60921 organic vapour/P100 cartridges.
• Store tightly closed, in the original container, in a cool, well-ventilated place.
• Transport: the SDS lists UN1993, Class 3, Packing Group III, limited quantity in 3.8 L inner packs (IMDG). CCW's dangerous goods shipping surcharge applies.

What is a protein odour?

The odour left by burnt or rotting protein — burnt meat, kitchen fires, spoiled food. It behaves differently from the smoke of a structure fire, which is why Legend Brands make a dedicated product for it.

Can I add Double-O to my cleaning solution?

Yes. Legend Brands' directions say to add it to wall and fibre cleaning solutions as needed. Pre-test on the surface or fabric first.

Double-O or 9-D-9?

ODORx 9-D-9 is the ODORx smoke odour counteractant. Double-O is the double-strength product formulated for stubborn protein odours. For unusually heavy smoke odour, Legend Brands' directions add Last Resort Plus to 9-D-9.

Does Double-O disinfect sewage-affected areas?

No. It controls odour only. Clean and sanitise to your procedure with a registered product; use Double-O for the remaining odour.

Can I put it through a fogger?

Legend Brands' directions do not include fogging. Spray it onto the odour source or add it to your cleaning solution. Ask us if you need a product for fogging.

How much solution does one jug make?

At 23–31 mL per litre, one 3.8 L jug makes roughly 120–165 L of solution.

Why is there a dangerous goods surcharge?

The concentrate is a Category 3 flammable liquid (flash point 53 °C) and is shipped as UN1993, Class 3.
