The Tramex WDMK Water Damage Restoration Master Kit puts moisture content and relative humidity testing, and ambient monitoring, in one case. It is built for water damage inspectors, restoration technicians and building surveyors who need to test concrete, timber, drywall, plaster, tile and other building materials, then document the drying.
Kit contents
Per the Tramex WDMK kit data sheet (April 2025):
- Concrete Moisture Encounter CMEX5
- Moisture Encounter ME5
- Feedback Datalogger DL-RHTX
- Heavy-duty pin-type wood probe
- 200 mm insulated pins for in-depth penetration
- 260 mm narrow wand relative humidity probe
- 1 x Hygro-i2 relative humidity probe
- Hole liners
- Calibration check salts
- Infrared thermometer
- Extension handle
- Heavy-duty carrying case with die-cut foam lining
- Tramex Meters app for Android and iOS (phone not included)
What each instrument does
ME5 – walls, floors and coverings
Dual-depth, non-destructive testing of drywall, wood, plaster, brick, tiles, resilient flooring, laminates and roofing. Reading at two depths from the same spot shows whether moisture sits in a covering or in the substrate under it.
CMEX5 – concrete, plus RH and pin modes
Non-destructive quantitative moisture content in concrete, using gravimetric testing as the baseline, plus comparative testing and ambient conditions. Its bayonet port takes the pin probe for timber and drywall (and WME in other materials), and Hygro-i2 RH probes for in-situ testing of concrete, building materials, structures and air spaces.
DL-RHTX – logging
The Feedback Datalogger records relative humidity, temperature and dew point in the room, or in materials and air spaces with a probe connected, and sends the data to the app over Bluetooth. An overnight log is stronger drying evidence than a single spot reading.
Infrared thermometer
Surface temperature, used with the CMEX5 hygrometer to work out dew point and condensation risk.
App
The Tramex Meters app geotags results, creates and shares reports, photos and charts, and mirrors the meter screen on your phone when the meter is on the extension handle or out of sight.

How the four water damage kits compare
| Kit | Meters | Datalogger | RH probes and extras |
| WDTK – Tech Kit | ME5 + CME5 | No | Extension handle only |
| WDIK – Inspector Kit | CMEX5 + ME5 | DL-RHTX | Pin probe, 200 mm insulated pins, 127 mm short narrow RH probe, IR thermometer, salts, handle |
| WDMK – Master Kit | CMEX5 + ME5 | DL-RHTX | As WDIK, but with the 260 mm narrow wand RH probe, plus one Hygro-i2 probe and hole liners |
| WDMK-X – Master Kit X | CMEX5 + MEX5 | DL-RHTX | As WDMK |
The practical differences: the WDTK is the analogue pair with no logging. The WDIK adds the digital CMEX5, a datalogger, pin probe and RH wand. The WDMK adds a Hygro-i2 in-situ probe and hole liners and swaps to the longer RH wand. The WDMK-X swaps the analogue ME5 for the digital MEX5, which adds its own hygrometer, surface thermometer and probe ports.

Frequently asked questions
Is buying the kit cheaper than the parts?
Generally yes, and it removes the risk of ordering an accessory with the wrong connector. Every component is also sold individually if you would rather build up over time.
What connector do the accessories use?
The CMEX5 and DL-RHTX use the bayonet connector, so any probes added later must be the “B” suffix versions. The AP-F2170-B accessory pack is the matching in-situ RH kit.
Can I run a full ASTM F2170 slab test with this kit?
Not on its own. The kit includes one Hygro-i2 probe and hole liners, but ASTM F2170 calls for three test locations for the first 100 m² and one more for each additional 100 m². Add Hygro-i2 probes, or the AP-F2170-B pack.
Is the Hygro-i2 interface cable included?
Tramex's kit data sheet does not list the RHIE2B interface cable that connects a Hygro-i2 probe to the CMEX5 or DL-RHTX. Ask us to confirm before you order if you need it.
Is a phone included?
No. The Tramex Meters app is a free download for iOS and Android and runs on your own device.
