PowerClean Barrel Fan Cleaner is a heavy-duty cleaning agent for split air conditioning systems, and particularly their barrel (squirrel cage) fans. Its gelled formula clings to the fan blades for a longer dwell time and makes it easy to apply. It is lightly scented with eucalyptus and fortified with Aussan.
Why a gel
Barrel fan blades are curved and closely spaced, and a thin liquid runs straight off them before it has worked. A gel stays where it is applied, so the soil on each blade gets the full dwell time before rinsing.

Using it
Isolate power and protect the wall, floor and electrical components before cleaning. Apply to the fan blades, allow dwell time, then rinse thoroughly. Follow the label and safety data sheet for dilution, dwell time and PPE.
The Mini-Split bib and low tack tape keep rinse water off the wall and floor.

Frequently asked questions
Why a gel rather than a spray-on liquid?
The gel clings to the curved fan blades, giving it longer dwell time where the soil is.
Does it sanitise?
We sell it as a cleaner. Earlier versions of this page called it an unsurpassed sanitiser; sanitising claims need a listing we do not hold for this product, and "unsurpassed" is not a claim we can substantiate, so both have been removed.
Can I use it on the coil as well?
It is made for split systems and barrel fans. For coils, use a coil cleaner such as Coil Brite or SpeedyFoam.
