Benefect Botanical Wipes combine Benefect's Decon 30 botanical formula, with thymol from thyme oil as the active ingredient, and a dense, durable wood-pulp wipe. They are made for restoration contractors: strong enough for rough surfaces such as timber and concrete without shredding, pilling or leaving lint. The formula foams on the wipe, so you can see which areas you have covered.

In North America they are sold as Benefect Botanical Disinfectant Wipes under a US EPA registration. That registration does not apply in Australia, and CCW sells them as cleaning wipes.

This listing: one container of 250 wipes, CCW SKU ICP20376-250.

Safety

The Australian SDS (ICP Group Australasia, version 1.1, August 2026) classifies Benefect Botanical Wipes as non-hazardous: no pictogram, signal word or hazard statements. They are not regulated as dangerous goods.

PPE is set by the job, not only by the chemical. A non-hazardous product does not make sewage, mould or trauma work safe. Wear the PPE the contamination requires, and follow your site's WHS procedures.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are these registered disinfectant wipes in Australia?

No. Their registration is with the US EPA, which does not apply here, and no Benefect product is listed on the ARTG. CCW sells them as cleaning wipes.

Will they hold up on rough surfaces?

Yes. The wood-pulp wipe is made for restoration work on rough surfaces like timber and concrete, without shredding or leaving lint.

Do I need to rinse after wiping?

No. Wipe and allow the surface to dry.

What are they used for most?

Cleaning tools, equipment, PPE and contents on site, so contamination is not carried from one area to the next.

A Note on Earlier Versions of This Page

Earlier versions of this page carried the manufacturer's North American marketing for Benefect Botanical Disinfectant Wipes: kill rates of over 99.99%, named bacteria and viruses (including HIV-1, MRSA and tuberculosis), "food surface contact sanitiser", and statements that the product had been reviewed by the US Environmental Protection Agency and was "available for sale in all States". Those are US EPA registrations and refer to US states. In Australia, disinfectant and germ-kill claims need an ARTG listing, and no Benefect product is listed, so those claims have been removed. We have also removed "no PPE required", which is not a statement we can make for every job. The wipe is unchanged. Where a scope calls for a listed disinfectant, ask us: Actichem Percide is the listed peroxide option we carry.
