Paper moisture content standard for verifying meter calibration
A reference standard with two known electrical resistance values on the paper scale, for confirming that a P-2000 or RDM-3P paper moisture meter is reading correctly.

Important — serial number restriction
The MCS-2 is the correct standard for P-2000 meters with serial numbers up to 19389. For P-2000 meters with serial number 19390 and above, order the MCS-2X instead. We do not currently list the MCS-2X — ask us and we will bring it in. Check the serial number on your meter before ordering: the wrong standard will still give you a reading, and it will still look like a passed check.
Why the paper scale needs its own standard
Paper and wood have different resistance characteristics at the same moisture content, and a meter reading on a paper scale is not verified by a wood standard. For wood scales use the MCS-1, which checks at 12% and 22%.

Does this calibrate the meter?
No, it verifies it. A meter that fails the check needs to go back to Delmhorst.
