Extra-long insulated pin for deep cavity work
The long version of the 608, for reaching well inside a wall cavity or deep into heavy timber. Teflon insulated except for the last 1/8 inch of the tip.

A note on the penetration figure
Delmhorst publishes two numbers for this pin. The pin specification gives a maximum penetration of 6 1/4 inches (159 mm). The electrode page for the 21-ET/001, which is fitted with these pins, states "up to 6 inches" (152 mm). We have not been able to reconcile the two and we are not going to average them. Treat 6 inches as the working figure and ask us if the last quarter inch matters to your application — we will put the question to Delmhorst.
Frequently asked questions
Can I fit these to a standard 21-E?
The 21-E is supplied with the shorter 608. The long pins belong to the /001 variants of the electrode. Tell us your electrode model and we will confirm.
Is a longer pin always better?
No. A longer pin flexes more and is easier to bend against a stud or a fixing. Use the shortest pin that reaches what you need to test.
