Injectidry Water Separator

The Water Separator works to protect your HP 60 blower by preventing bulk water from passing through it when drying in a negative mode.

The Water Separator should be used after the initial vacuuming with a truck mount system to capture the remaining water that could be undetected. Placing it as we recommend, it will collect bulk water that may be trapped in ceilings, walls, floors, or cabinets that you are drying.

This is no ordinary bucket. The Separator has an anti-collapse ring built into it.

Why It Matters

In negative mode the HP blower draws air out of walls, ceilings, cabinets and Vac-It floor panels. Any water still sitting in those cavities travels with that air. Injectidry is blunt about the result: bulk water passing through the HP blower can severely damage it and will void the warranty. The Water Separator sits between the hoselines and the blower and catches that water before it reaches the machine.

Injectidry's current page describes the Water Separator as protecting both the HP60 and the HP-PLUS blower — not only the HP 60 — and says it is used after extraction with either a truck mount or a portable.

When to Use It

• Every negative-mode job, from the start. Injectidry recommends it for at least the first 24 hours after extraction, to catch hidden pockets of water.
• Whenever Vac-It panels are drawing from a floor, or active hoselines are drawing from wall and ceiling cavities that may still hold water.
• Not needed in positive mode, where the blower is pushing dry air in rather than drawing air out.

It is not an extractor. Injectidry's instruction is to extract bulk water first and never to use the HP system as an extraction device.

Setting It Up (Injectidry Instructions)

With an HP blower

1. Remove the Main W from the AIR IN main hose.
2. Thread the Water Separator supply hose's male fitting into the female threaded end.
3. Attach the 1.5 inch supply lines (blank or active hoselines) to the side input ports.
4. Cap any unused port with an end cap plug.

With an HP blower and Interceptor

1. Fit the Interceptor hoses to the HP unit first.
2. Thread the Water Separator's male end into the AIR IN female fitting.
3. Attach the supply lines to the side input ports and cap any unused port.

The Injectidry Interceptor system is not currently available online — ask us if you run one.

Placement and monitoring

• Stand it on a stable, elevated surface away from walkways.
• Check it during the job and empty it before it fills. Injectidry does not publish a capacity.
• Do not operate in temperatures over 104°F (40 °C) — Injectidry's limit, and its warranty is void above it.

Do I need it if I have already extracted?

Yes. Extraction removes what you can reach. Injectidry recommends the Water Separator for the first 24 hours afterwards precisely because water hides in cavities you cannot see.

Does it work with the HP-PLUS?

Yes. Injectidry lists the current Water Separator for both the HP60 and the HP-PLUS.

Can I use it with Direct-It or Adaptidry?

Injectidry describes it for the HP system only. Direct-It and Adaptidry run on air movers, not the HP blower.

How much water does it hold?

Injectidry does not publish a capacity. Check it regularly during the first day, especially on floor jobs with Vac-It panels.

Does it filter the air?

No. It separates water. In negative mode, Injectidry's HP-PLUS manual highly recommends an inline HEPA device (the Interceptor) — ask us about current options.
