The brown metering tip for Hydro-Force injection sprayers — the leanest ratio in the published range.
Brown gives 1:32 at 400 PSI. It also swings further across the pressure range than any other tip in the set, so the chart below matters more here than anywhere else.
Ratio Depends on Pressure, Not Just Colour
This is the single most misunderstood thing about these sprayers. A metering tip does not deliver a fixed dilution. The ratio a colour gives you changes with the inlet water pressure.

Ounces per gallon as published: 1:4 = 32, 1:5 = 26, 1:6 = 21, 1:8 = 16, 1:10 = 13, 1:12 = 11, 1:14 = 9, 1:16 = 8, 1:32 = 4.
Work it in this order: find your machine's inlet pressure, then read across to the ratio your chemical label calls for, then fit that colour.
Why Brown Needs the Most Care
Brown runs from 1:8 at 50 PSI to 1:32 at 400 PSI. That is a fourfold difference in chemical concentration from the same tip, decided entirely by your inlet pressure.
If you fit brown expecting 1:32 and your machine is delivering 100 PSI at the sprayer, you are applying at 1:8 — four times the intended strength. On a wool rug or a protected carpet that is not a small error.
Operating Pressure
The AS08 Pro operates from 50 to 1,000 PSI and leaves the factory set at 400 PSI, which gives 1:8 with the yellow tip. The AS08P Plus starts at 100 PSI. Water flow is deliberately restricted as it passes through the injector, dropping pressure by roughly 64 per cent — so spray pressure at the tip is about a third of your inlet pressure.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is brown always 32:1?
No. It is 1:32 only at 400 PSI. See the chart — at 100 PSI the same tip gives 1:8.
What is brown normally used for?
The high-dilution products — most protectors, deodorisers and light presprays applied through a high-pressure sprayer.
My chemical is going on too strong. What do I check?
Pressure first, tip second. Most over-application on these sprayers is a pressure assumption, not a faulty tip.
Can I get the ratios in between?
Yes — the Metering Tip Kit HP AS08 (NA0816A) covers the published ladder.
Is a clogged brown tip common?
It has the smallest published effect on flow of the tips CCW stocks, so anything in the concentrate shows up here first. Keep the acorn strainer clean.

What We See in the Field
The 32:1 marking is a nominal metering point, not a promise that every chemical and every machine will draw at exactly that ratio. Incoming pressure and concentrate viscosity change the actual injection rate, so calibrate it with the chemical that's actually going through the bottle. The brown AS08 tip is the 32:1 option; don't assume the bottle is actually drawing 32:1 until you've calibrated it.
