Dri-eaz

Dri-Eaz is the reference point for a lot of Australian restoration work — the LGR dehumidifier and the HEPA 500 air scrubber are the units many drying plans are written around, and the ones insurers recognise on a report.

Equipment includes the LGR 7000XLi dehumidifier in 230 V, the Velo low profile airmover, and the HEPA 500 air scrubber platform. How to choose

LGR is the general-purpose choice in Australian conditions. Low grain refrigerant units are efficient across the temperature range most jobs sit in. Desiccant belongs on cold spaces or where you need to push to very low humidity.

Low profile airmovers earn their place under furniture. A Velo fits where a standard axial will not, which on a furnished residential loss is most of the wet area.

Size the scrubber by air changes, not by room size alone. The required rate depends on the class of work. Under-sizing looks cheaper and fails the verification.

Verify with an instrument, not by feel. HydroSensor probes and the Wetchec exist so a drying decision is recorded rather than judged.
