The Dri-Eaz 4-PRO is a disposable four-stage air filter for Dri-Eaz refrigerant dehumidifiers. This is the smaller 4-PRO size, listed by CCW as 25 cm x 27.5 cm.
4-PRO 4-stage filter fits EV1800 (F432), BD2500 (F413) & 4000i (F434).

Important: Check Your Machine Before Ordering
Dri-Eaz make the 4-PRO in several sizes, and each size suits different dehumidifiers. CCW stocks two:
- This filter, F583 (25 cm x 27.5 cm), listed by CCW for the EV1800 (F432), BD2500 (F413) and 4000i (F434).
- The larger Dri-Eaz 4-PRO Dehumidifier Filter F581 (30.48 cm x 30.48 cm), listed by CCW for the 7000 (F412), 1200 (F203) and BD1000.
Sources do not all agree on fitment, so we show both rather than choose one:
- Revolution (F413): US distributors sell the F583 as the 4-PRO filter for the Dri-Eaz LGR Revolution, model F413. That matches CCW's BD2500 (F413) listing.
- Evolution and DriTec 4000i: Legend Brands (Dri-Eaz's parent company) list the Evolution and DriTec 4000i on a different 4-PRO filter (Legend part 100252, sold by US distributors as F590), not on the F583. CCW's listing for the EV1800 (F432) and 4000i (F434) has not been confirmed against Dri-Eaz's current parts data.
Before you order for an EV1800 or 4000i, measure the filter in your machine or send us the model and serial number from the data plate and we will confirm the correct filter.
Why the Filter Matters on a Dehumidifier
A refrigerant dehumidifier pulls large volumes of air across its coils for days at a time. On a water loss that air carries plaster dust, fibres, soot and debris. Without a working filter that material lands on the coil and heat-exchange surfaces, which restricts airflow, cuts water removal and makes the machine work harder for the same result.
The 4-PRO is the filter Dri-Eaz fit for this duty. It is disposable: when it is loaded you replace it rather than wash it.

The two size listings disagree on thickness. Measure the filter in your machine if you are unsure.
Checking and Replacing the Filter
- Switch the dehumidifier off and unplug it before opening the filter access.
- Check the filter at every job set-up and on every monitoring visit. Dust-heavy jobs such as demolition or sanding load it far faster than a clean water loss.
- Replace it whenever it looks dirty or heavily loaded with particles. Dri-Eaz state the filters are not reusable.
- Fit the new filter the same way round as the old one and make sure it sits flat in its frame with no gaps for air to bypass.
- Never run the machine without a filter fitted.
After a mould or sewage job, treat the used filter as contaminated. Bag it on site and dispose of it with the other job waste rather than carrying it back to the van loose.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I wash and reuse a 4-PRO filter?
No. Dri-Eaz state the filters are not reusable. Replace it when it looks dirty or heavily loaded.
What is the difference between the F583 and the F581?
Size, and therefore which dehumidifiers they fit. The media and construction are the same four-stage 4-PRO design. The F583 is the smaller filter; the F581 is the 30.48 cm square filter listed for the 7000 (F412), 1200 (F203) and BD1000.
Does the 4-PRO fit my EV1800 or 4000i?
CCW lists it for both, but Legend Brands' current US data puts those machines on a different 4-PRO filter. Measure your old filter or send us the model and serial number and we will confirm before you order.
How often should I change it?
There is no fixed interval. Dri-Eaz say to replace it whenever it appears dirty or heavily loaded with particles. Check it at set-up and on every monitoring visit, and expect to change it far more often on demolition and sanding jobs than on a clean water loss.
Does the carbon stage deal with odour on a job?
The activated carbon layer adsorbs some odours and fumes from the air passing through the dehumidifier. It is not a substitute for source removal or a dedicated odour-control air scrubber on a smoke or sewage job.
