The Cleanstar Polystar 13 inch orbital floor polisher and cleaner (Model: PS-001) is a compact, multi-purpose floor machine. One machine covers a wide range of floor jobs, and it can be used on almost any surface — staircases, around the house and in small areas.
It is designed to strip, wax, buff, polish, sand and refinish hard surface floors such as marble, tiles, vinyl, wood and more. It can also dry clean carpets, so they can be used immediately after cleaning.

How an Orbital Machine Differs From a Rotary
The Polystar moves its brush or pad holder in an orbital pattern at 150 rpm rather than spinning it like a conventional rotary floor machine. It does not pull sideways the way a rotary does, which makes it easier to control on stairs, in tight rooms and for operators who do not use a floor machine every day.

A 13 inch, 250 W machine is sized for small areas and detail work. For larger floors, the Polystar 15 inch covers more floor per pass. Bonnet cleaning carpet is a maintenance method — it cleans the top of the pile and complements hot water extraction rather than replacing it.

Cleanstar's manual lists the standard accessories by part number: carpet brush, black bristle (PS-001-01); floor brush, green and white (PS-001-02); pad holder (PS-001-03); white polishing pad (PS-04); microfibre cleaning pad (PS-08). Quote these numbers when ordering replacements.
Fitting the Pad Holder or Brush
- Switch off and unplug the machine.
- To fit: keep the pad flat, lift the machine with both hands, align the holder with the chassis and push down, then check the pad sits level.
- To remove: lay the machine on its back and pull the holder away from the chassis. It may need to be eased off at several points.
Operating Advice
- Make sure the switch is off before plugging in, and fit the pad holder or brush before starting.
- Grasp the handle and guide the machine across the floor in a back-and-forth motion.
- Wear closed-toe shoes, and keep hair and loose clothing clear of moving parts.
- Indoor use only. Do not use near flammable substances.
- Check the cord regularly and do not use the machine with a damaged cord or plug.
- Use only commercially available floor cleaners and waxes.
- Do not leave the machine plugged in and unattended.
Maintenance
- Remove the brushes or pads after use and clean them with a wet cloth.
- Wrap the cord loosely around the handle hooks — tight wrapping damages the cord over time.
- Cleanstar's manual calls for light oil on the motor bearings periodically.
- Use genuine Cleanstar/Polystar spare parts. Cleanstar specifies that servicing is carried out by an authorised service agent.
Warranty
Cleanstar's instruction manual states a 12-month warranty from the original purchase date, covering parts and labour for manufacturing defects when the machine is used as the manual directs. It excludes accidental damage, wear and tear, misuse, improper installation, water or liquid damage, repairs by unauthorised people and use outside Australia, and is void if non-genuine parts are used. Confirm current terms with CCW at purchase.

Can it clean carpet?
Yes, as low-moisture bonnet cleaning with a microfibre or cotton pad. The carpet can be walked on almost straight away. It is a maintenance clean of the top of the pile, not a substitute for hot water extraction.
What is the difference between the 13 inch and 15 inch Polystar?
Both run at 150 rpm with a 250–275 W induction motor according to Cleanstar. The 15 inch (PS-015) has a 38 cm working width and weighs 16.3 kg net; the 13 inch (PS-001) has a 33 cm working diameter and weighs 14.8 kg. Choose the 13 inch for stairs and small areas, the 15 inch for more open floor.
Will the CCW 15 inch Polystar pads fit this machine?
Cleanstar's manual lists PS-08 as this machine's microfibre pad, and distributors list the PS-08 as 15 inch to suit both machines, but CCW has not confirmed the fit on the 13 inch. Ask us before ordering the microfibre pad or cotton pad for a PS-001.
Are stripping pads included?
No. The machine comes with a soft brush, hard brush, pad holder, polishing pad and microfibre pad. Talk to us about the right pad and chemical for the floor you are stripping.
