The Valve
The AW29 is fitted with the Kingston 251-30, a 30 degree angled valve with a forged brass body and stainless steel stem. Kingston rates it at 1 to 1200 psi and −40°C to 107°C (−40°F to 225°F), which is why the same wand suits both portables and heated truckmounts. When it starts to drip, it is rebuilt rather than replaced.

Important: Choosing a Glide for the AW29
A glide is not included. AW29 glides are sized by the width of the wand lip, and AW29-pattern wands are not all the same, so measure the lip before ordering:
- Lip about 14.5 mm: PTFE (Teflon) wand glide for AW29 (AW529T-CS), which lists this wand as compatible
- Lip under 16 mm: GreenGlides AW29 slotted glide, under 16 mm lip (AW5GGAW29S)
- Lip over 17 mm: GreenGlides AW29 slotted glide, over 17 mm lip (AW5GGAW29S-WF)
There is no industry standard for wand lip dimensions, so a glide may need minor fitting on an individual wand. See the wand glide range.

Jets
The 11002 code describes the spray: 110 degree fan angle, 0.2 US gallon per minute rated flow at 40 psi. Worn jets spray wide and heavy, which puts more water into the carpet and lengthens drying. Operating Advice
- Check both jets and their filters before each job. With only two jets, one blocked jet halves the spray and leaves a stripe.
- Replace the glide before the stainless lips reach the carpet.
- Flush the wand with clean water at the end of the day so chemical residue does not dry in the jets or valve.
- Rebuild the valve at the first sign of a drip. A leaking valve at truckmount temperature is a burn risk as well as a waste of solution.

My valve is dripping. Do I need a new valve?
Usually not. The 251-30 fails at its seals, and the PKI25130 repair kit rebuilds it.
What jets does it take?

What is the difference between the AW29 and the AW57?
The CMP AW57 is a 4-jet low-profile wand with a 10 cm high head for cleaning under furniture. The AW29 is the 2-jet general-purpose S-bend wand.
Why the vinyl sleeve?
With heated solution the wand gets hot in the hand. The sleeve is there for heat protection, which matters most on truckmounts.
