Vpro's stair tool: a one-piece machined 9 inch head on a 2 inch titanium tube, with a lockable swivel and two stainless steel jets. Built in the United States, and supplied here with a red powder-coated tube and the standard clear anodised head.
It is built to the same specification as the Vpro wands rather than as a cut-down accessory, which is unusual in stair tools and is most of the reason for the price. The 2 inch tube means it expects truckmount airflow.

Where a 9 inch head earns its place
Stairs are the slowest part of most residential jobs and the hardest on the operator. A narrow head reaches the tread and the riser without fighting the nosing, and the lockable swivel lets the head sit flat on a tread while the tube comes in from above.
The same tool handles upholstery bases, cupboard floors, vehicle interiors and the strips of floor a full wand cannot reach. If you already run a Vpro wand, the glide, jets and service parts are familiar.

Jets and service parts
The stair tool runs two built-in stainless steel high-flow Vee jets. Vpro has not published the jet size for this tool, so we will confirm it against the unit rather than assume it matches the wands. We stock the common 1/8 inch Vee jets, including 11002 and 9502, and can match what is fitted.
Glides, valves, manifolds, hoses and thermometers come from Vpro's own parts range and we order them in.
Choosing between the Vpro tools
- Swivel wand, 14 inch head, 2 inch tube, 4 jet. Truckmount work where the head needs to stay flat as you move around furniture.
- Non-swivel wand, 14 inch head, 2 inch tube, 4 jet. The same head and coverage without the swivel, for operators who prefer a fixed head and fewer moving parts.
- Non-swivel wand, 12 inch head, 1.5 inch tube, 2 jet. Portables and smaller truckmounts, and anywhere lighter handling matters more than coverage.
- Swivel stair tool, 9 inch head, 2 inch tube, 2 jet — this tool. Stairs, upholstery bases and tight areas a full wand cannot reach.

Frequently asked questions
Is a 2 inch tube too much for stairs?
It is a deliberate choice: the 2 inch tube carries truckmount airflow to a small head, which is what makes a stair tool recover properly rather than just wet the carpet. It does mean this tool is matched to a truckmount, not a portable.
Is the whole tool titanium?
No, and it is worth being clear about it. The tube is titanium; the head is machined aluminium with a clear anodised finish. That combination is deliberate: titanium for the tube that takes the handling loads, aluminium for the head where machining accuracy and weight matter most.
Can I use it for upholstery?
On robust upholstery, yes, and on vehicle interiors. For delicate fabrics a dedicated upholstery tool with lower flow is the safer choice — ask us and we will point you to one.
Can the glide be replaced?
Yes. It is a thick slotted virgin PTFE glide and Vpro supplies replacements as a service part. We order Vpro spares on our regular shipments rather than holding them, so tell us early when a glide is wearing thin.
Can I get a different colour?
Yes. Vpro powder-coats tubes in a range of colours and can anodise heads in colour as a cost option. Vpro is upfront that anodised colour fades and marks with professional use, and that clear anodised is the most durable finish, which is why it is the standard. Colour changes are a build option, not a stock item, so ask us about lead time before committing.
How long does one take to arrive if it is not in stock?
Vpro builds in Los Angeles and ships to us by sea. If your configuration is not on our shelf, the wait is measured in weeks rather than days. Ring us for the current position before you plan around it.
