How the head assembly works
The head plate clips onto the ball joint at the top of the pole, and the sheeting is sandwiched between this plate and the non-skid plate above it. That sandwich is what grips the plastic without tape and without piercing it.
The keyhole snap is a wear point — it is clipped and unclipped every time the kit goes up and comes down. A snap that no longer holds lets the plate drop off mid-job, usually taking the sheet with it.
Check It Before Each Job
- The plate clips firmly onto the ball joint and does not pop off with a light pull.
- The keyhole snap is not cracked or spread.
- The ball joint pivots freely so the plate sits flat on a sloping or uneven ceiling.
- The non-skid plate is present and still grips.

Is the non-skid plate included?
No. This is the head plate only; the non-skid plate (ZNP1) is listed separately.
Does it fit all ZipWall poles?
It clips onto the ball joint at the top of ZipWall poles. If you run an older or Super-Tall pole, send us a photo of the head to confirm.
