The Wagner Calibration Verification Block "L' Series is used to verify the calibration of Wagner L-Series Hand-held Industrial Meters, including the L622, L620, L601-3, and the L722 Lumber Stack Probe, as well as our legacy hand-held meters MMC205, MMC210, MMC220, and MMI1100, except for the L609.
Wagner Meters’ handheld units are factory-calibrated. With proper care, the meters stay in calibration. If the meter has been dropped or, for any reason, you suspect it is out of calibration, a Calibration Verification Block (CVB) is available. It allows you to determine whether or not the meter is still calibrated.
Certificate of Calibration
The Certificate of Calibration says that the calibration block meets the standards or specifications set by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). This Certificate provides proof that the CVB is NIST-certified and can therefore be used to determine whether a moisture meter is properly calibrated.
Knowing your meter is properly calibrated – and having a Certificate to prove it – is invaluable for companies, especially flooring manufacturers, flooring installers, or mills, that could be subject to liability due to warranty claims stemming from inaccurate moisture meters. Having a Certificate verifies that their equipment is within calibration and can be traced back to NIST standards, thereby relieving companies of potential liability.
For companies compliant with the International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO), a Certificate is required to ensure their meters are certified, meaning within calibration. It offers proof that their meters are traceable to NIST standards and that the company is in compliance with ISO guidelines.
