Tramex RHP-NW – Long Narrow RH Probe (DIN)

RHP-NW has a DIN connection and is for use with the CMEX2 and MRH3. It will not connect to a CMEX5, MEX5 or DL-RHTX.

The Tramex 260 mm narrow wand relative humidity probe has a 4 mm diameter and is ideal for taking relative humidity readings in small or narrow crevices, between tiles, and for evaluating moisture conditions in walls and cavity structures within the building envelope. Its thin profile suits flood and water damage restoration as well as building survey professionals.

The probe measures relative humidity, temperature, dew point temperature and grains per pound (grams per kilogram) humidity ratio. The Tramex relative humidity probes house Hygro-i2® technology and are reusable, with calibration checks carried out using calibration check salts.

Features

  • 260 mm long, 4 mm diameter – for deep cavity inspection
  • Fast acclimation and temperature response time
  • Proven robustness – durable and reusable
  • Best in class accuracy, reliable even above 90% RH
  • Measures in-situ and ambient RH, temperature, dew point and grains per pound

Important – check your meter's connector before ordering

Tramex uses two accessory connectors and the part numbers differ by a single trailing B. They are not interchangeable.

DIN connection CMEX2, MRH3
Bayonet connection CMEX5, MEX5, DL-RHTX

This is the DIN version. If your meter is a CMEX5, MEX5 or DL-RHTX, order the RHP-NWB instead.

Frequently asked questions

Which probe length do I need?

The 260 mm narrow probe reaches into deep cavities and wall structures. The 110 mm short narrow probe suits shallower work and tighter access. The short probe has a 10 mm diameter body for general in-situ and ambient use. All three read the same values – the difference is reach and the size of hole they need.

Can this probe be used for ASTM F2170 in-situ testing?

These wand probes are used for in-situ and ambient RH measurement in structures and cavities. For ASTM F2170 and AS 1884-2012 concrete slab testing with sleeved holes, the Hygro-i2 insertion probe is the correct product, left in the sleeve to equilibrate.

How do I check the probe is still accurate?

Use the 75% calibration check salt. Seal the probe in the salt chamber, let it stabilise, and confirm it reads 75% RH. Worth doing before any job where the reading goes into a report.

Will it work with an older Tramex meter?

Only if the connector matches. This DIN version fits the CMEX2 and MRH3 only. Contact us with your meter model if you are unsure – it is a quick check and avoids returning the wrong probe.
