Product Overview
Replacement Kawasaki oil seal, part number 92049-7005, size 8 x 14 x 5 mm. It is interchangeable with Kawasaki 92049-7019.
Important — Size and Location
This is a small seal: 8 mm inside diameter, 14 mm outside diameter, 5 mm thick. It is not a crankshaft seal — the FH-series crankcase seals are much larger. Check the size or the part number on your parts list before ordering.
Compatibility
Parts suppliers list 92049-7005 and its replacement 92049-7019 across Kawasaki FH-series engines including FH381V, FH430V, FH480V, FH541V, FH580V, FH601D and FH680D, as well as FR, FS and FX-series engines. Not every specification uses it, so confirm against your engine code.
Replace Seals as a Matter of Course, Not on Failure
An oil seal fails gradually — a weep, then a drip, then oil across the deck. On a truckmount that oil ends up on the van floor and eventually on a customer’s driveway. If the engine is apart for any reason, renew the seals while you are in there.
Genuine Parts on a Truckmount Engine
The engine on a truckmount is the machine. An hour of downtime is a job cancelled, and the part that stopped it is almost always a small one. Genuine and correctly specified parts are not a premium here — they are what stops a two-dollar component costing a day of work.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is this the crankshaft seal?
No. At 8 x 14 x 5 mm it is a small shaft seal. FH-series crankcase seals are much larger.
What is 92049-7019?
The interchangeable Kawasaki number for the same 8 x 14 x 5 mm seal.
Should I replace seals when the engine is open?
Yes. A disturbed seal is a common source of a later leak.
What We See in the Field
[Technician's Note — replace before publishing: two to four sentences of first-hand CCW field experience relevant to this product. A pattern you see, a mistake customers make, or something learned from servicing or selling it. Not spec repetition, not a sales pitch, not invented.]
Engine parts are specific to the model and often to the revision. Send us the engine model and serial numbers from the shroud and we will confirm the part before you order.
