BioShot UHT is a powdered enzyme prespray for carpet and upholstery. Broad-spectrum co-enzyme technology suspends protein soils, while grease-breaking solvents and surfactants deal with oils and grease. It is mixed with hot water and suits high-performance truckmounted and portable extraction machines. Product code RP217010-3, pH 9.5–10.5.
Key features
- Broad spectrum co-enzyme technology for effective suspension of protein soils, whilst grease-breaking solvents and surfactants make fast work of oils and grease.
- Safe on wool and advanced generation nylon carpet and fabrics.
- Free rinsing formula that will not contribute to re-soiling (described by Razorback as a neutral formula — see the note below).
- Razorback states it contains no optical brighteners or toxic solvents, conforming to AS/NZS 3733:1995, AS/NZS 4849.1:2003, IICRC S100 and IICRC S300.
- Ultra-high temperature (UHT) formulation is suitable for use with high-performance truck-mounted and portable extraction machines.
- Can be used as a booster to enhance the performance of any cleaning solution.
- Economical to use — Razorback states 1 cup of concentrate will clean up to 320 square metres of carpet.
Note on pH
The product has long been described as a "neutral formula". Its stated pH of 9.5–10.5, and the SDS description (a blend of alkaline salts, detergents and other ingredients), put it on the alkaline side of neutral. Treat it as a mildly alkaline prespray: rinse thoroughly, and pre-test on wool and on dye-sensitive fabrics even though Razorback states it is wool-safe.
Directions for use
- Read the safety data sheet before use.
- Vacuum the area to be cleaned thoroughly before any cleaning process.
- Pre-test in an inconspicuous area for colourfastness.
- Mix BioShot UHT with HOT water at the rates below.
- Pre-spray over the area to be cleaned, let dwell for 10–15 minutes and extract. For heavily soiled carpets use a heavier application of pre-spray. Do not allow pre-spray to dry before extracting.
- Extract with e-Rinse EFR.
Mixing rates
| Use | Method | Rate |
|---|---|---|
| Carpet | Pump-up sprayer | 50–100 g (1–2 scoops) of powder per 10 litres of HOT water |
| Carpet | In-line sprayer (yellow tip 8:1) | 300–500 g (6–10 scoops) of powder, then fill the container with warm water |
| Upholstery | Pump-up sprayer | 25 g (1/2 scoop) of powder per 1 litre of HOT water |
| Booster | Any ready-to-use cleaning solution | Add 50–100 g (1–2 scoops) of powder per 10 litres to create a general-purpose degreaser out of any typical solution |
Dissolve the powder fully before it goes into a sprayer. Undissolved powder blocks tips and filters.
