Fixed length, and check the hole size
This is the original-style sleeve at a fixed 43 mm x 16 mm. If the depth you need to test at does not match, the adjustable humidity sleeve is the alternative.
The 16 mm diameter dictates the drill bit. For sleeves requiring a 12 mm hole, see the 12 mm concrete drill bit; for 3/4 inch holes, the 3/4 inch masonry bit.
The seal is the test
The sleeve exists to isolate a pocket of air from the room so it can equilibrate with the material around it. An unsealed sleeve measures the room, produces a comfortable number, and tells you nothing about the slab.
Matching the sleeve, the hole and the sensor
Three sleeve systems exist and they are not interchangeable. The sleeve has to seal in the hole, or the air inside it equilibrates with the room instead of the slab and the test is meaningless. Match all three columns before you drill.
