Important — Check the Coil Voltage
Mytee's US parts lists show the B197 with a 115 V coil, for example on the Speedster LTD12. CCW stock is the 240 V version. A 115 V coil will burn out on Australian mains, and a 240 V coil will not operate on a 115 V machine. Read the voltage on the coil you are replacing before you order.
How a Solenoid Valve Fails
Two distinct faults. The coil fails electrically — no click, no operation, and it will often be warm or smell. The valve fails mechanically — it clicks but does not pass flow, or passes flow when it should be closed, usually because of scale or grit on the seat.
Listen for the click before you order. It tells you which half has gone.
Important — Electrical Work
The coil is a mains-voltage component. In Australia, work on the electrical side of a 240 V appliance is licensed work. Have a qualified person do the job, or send the machine in.
