The electrostatic filter is the only routine maintenance the Titan 2000 asks for. Washing it restores the airflow the photocatalytic process depends on — a loaded filter reduces the air passing the catalyst, and the machine quietly does less while running exactly the same.
Let it dry completely before refitting. A damp filter going back into a live machine is an electrical risk, not just a performance one.
