The only maintenance necessary to keep your Titan 2000 running at peak performance is to wash the electrostatic filter located on the back of the unit with soap and water, then air dry and reinstall it. Size - 230 X 230 X 13 mm
This is the replacement for that filter — for when the original is damaged, distorted or no longer washes clean. The maintenance instruction above is International Ozone's; the same wash-and-dry instruction appears in its Titan 1000 owner's manual.

Important: Match the Filter to Your Titan
The three Titan sizes do not share a filter. Check the model label on your machine, or measure the old filter, before ordering:
- Titan 2000 — this filter, 230 x 230 x 13 mm.
- Titan 4000 — the larger Titan 4000 filter (a Canadian distributor lists International Ozone's EF-1-4000 at 20 x 20 x 1/2 inch).
- Titan 1000 — ask us; we are confirming the correct filter for current Titan 1000 units.
International Ozone also sells a newer Titan 2000 MAX. We have not confirmed that this filter fits the MAX — send us the model label if you have one.
Washable, and that is the whole maintenance schedule
The electrostatic filter is the only routine maintenance the Titan 2000 asks for. Washing it restores the airflow the photocatalytic process depends on — a loaded filter reduces the air passing the catalyst, and the machine quietly does less while running exactly the same.
Let it dry completely before refitting. A damp filter going back into a live machine is an electrical risk, not just a performance one.
Washing the Filter
- Switch off and unplug the Titan before removing the filter.
- Remove the filter from the back of the unit.
- Wash with soap and water, as International Ozone directs.
- Air dry completely.
- Refit, making sure it sits flat with no gaps around the edge, then return the machine to service.
International Ozone does not publish a washing interval. On smoke and odour jobs the filter loads quickly — check it between jobs and wash it whenever it looks dirty.
Frequently Asked Questions
When should I replace rather than wash it?
International Ozone does not publish a replacement interval. Replace it if the frame is bent, the media is torn or crushed, it no longer seats without gaps, or it stays discoloured and restricted after washing.
Can I run the Titan without the filter while it dries?
We do not recommend it. The filter is there to keep dust out of the machine. Keep a spare so the machine can keep working while the other one dries.
Will a generic 9 x 9 inch furnace filter do?
No. This is a washable electrostatic filter made for the Titan. A disposable pleated filter of a similar size will change the airflow and will not survive washing.
