Important: Check the Base Height
CCW's listing gives a base height of 67 mm; Cleanstar's own product page gives 58 mm. Both agree on the 170 mm overall height and 145 mm diameter. We have not resolved which base figure is correct, so measure your old motor and compare before ordering — a motor that sits at the wrong height will not seal on its gasket.
Cleanstar or Genuine Ametek?
This is a Cleanstar motor, not an Ametek-branded one. If you want the genuine Ametek 5.7 inch two-stage tangential motor, CCW stocks the Ametek 119625-00, 1200 W (AV010). The two differ in rated power, so check what your machine was built with and ask us if you are unsure which to fit.
Fit a New Gasket With It
A vacuum motor sits on a rubber gasket, and re-using a hardened gasket on a new motor means the machine draws air around the motor instead of through the hose. It is the cheapest part in the job and the one most likely to undo the rest of it — see the 5.7 inch vacuum motor gasket.
Why the Motor Failed
Most vacuum motors are killed by water or debris getting past a failed filter, not by age. Before fitting a new motor, find out why the old one died — a missing or torn filter bag will destroy the new one too.
Electrical Work
Work on the mains side of a 230 V appliance is licensed work in Australia. Order the part if a qualified person is doing the job; otherwise send the machine in.

Is this a genuine Ametek motor?
No. It is sold as a Cleanstar motor, model M032C. The genuine Ametek equivalent CCW stocks is AV010 (Ametek 119625-00, 1200 W).
My machine is not on the list. Will it fit?
Possibly. Compare the diameter (145 mm), overall height (170 mm), base height and discharge type (tangential) with the motor you are removing, and send us a photo of the old motor's label if you can.
Can I replace just the carbon brushes?
Cleanstar lists the brushes for this motor as part MCB027. CCW does not currently list that part online — ask us. Worn brushes are a normal service item; a motor with water damage or failed bearings usually is not worth rebrushing.
