Overview
An external automatic pump-out (APO) for truckmounts, built around a heavy-duty 12 V diaphragm wastewater pump. It moves recovered wastewater out of the truckmount's waste tank so you can keep cleaning instead of stopping to dump.
This option is supplied only with the purchase of a new truckmount from CCW, and is made to order. It is not sold separately for existing machines — for an existing truckmount, see the kits listed further down this page.
Important: machine size
This pump-out suits medium-sized truckmounts and smaller. It is not suitable for the larger machines CCW supplies:
For those machines, choose the AWDS kit or the 12 V impeller pump-out kit listed below.
Why an external diaphragm pump
The pump mounts outside the waste tank rather than inside it. It is a diaphragm pump with non-choke double check valves, built to pump un-macerated waste water. It can run dry and handles an air and water mixture — which is what a pump-out sees as the tank level drops.

Figures are the pump manufacturer's published data. They describe the pump itself, not the installed system — actual flow depends on hose length, lift and how the pump is plumbed on your vehicle.
Discharge requirements in Australia
Discharging cleaning wastewater to the sewer is regulated by the local water authority, and trade waste requirements differ between states and between councils. Some sites require a trade waste agreement or pre-treatment before discharge is permitted.
The pump-out gives you the means to discharge to a sanitary sewer. Whether you may do so at a given site is a question for the water authority and the building owner, not for the equipment. Confirm before you rely on it as your disposal method.
Installation
Installation is not included in the price. The pump-out is fitted by CCW as part of the truckmount installation.
Other automatic pump-outs CCW supplies
- AWDS Automatic Pump-Out Kit – 12 V Diaphragm Pump (HydraMaster 079-220) — 8 US GPM, 1/6 HP gear motor, wires into an auxiliary switch; available for existing machines
- Automatic Waste Pump-Out Kit – 12 V Impeller Pump (Sapphire Scientific 68-158S) — pump mounted beside the waste tank with a float switch in the tank; needs a Group 24 battery; available for existing machines
Frequently asked questions
Can I buy this for my existing truckmount?
No. It is supplied only with a new truckmount purchase. For an existing machine, the AWDS kit and the 12 V impeller pump-out kit above are both available.
Which truckmounts is it suitable for?
Medium-sized truckmounts and smaller. It is not suitable for the Sapphire Scientific 570 Apex, Sapphire Scientific 870HP Everest or HydraMaster TITAN 575HP.
Does it run off the truckmount's power?
The pump is 12 V DC. Connection to the vehicle and machine is set up by CCW during the installation.
Will it be damaged if it runs dry?
The pump is rated by its manufacturer as able to run dry.
Can I discharge to any sink or gully?
Not automatically. Check the trade waste requirements for the site and the local water authority first.
