Delmhorst supplies this cover in three colours to match different meter bodies. The part is the same; the colour is not. We also stock it in orange and in grey for the BDX-30.

Why replace it
The cover holds the cells against their contacts and keeps dust and water out of the compartment. A meter that drops out mid-reading, or shows corrosion on the contacts, will often trace back to a cover that no longer seats properly.
Frequently asked questions
Is the colour just cosmetic?
The part is identical across colours — only the moulding colour differs. It matters because it identifies the meter body it was supplied with, and a mismatched cover looks like a repair even though it functions correctly. We stock orange and grey.
Can I run the meter without the cover?
You can, but not for long. The cover holds the cells against their contacts and keeps site dust and water out. A meter that drops power mid-reading is a meter nobody trusts, and corroded contacts are a far more expensive fix than a cover.
How do I know which one I need?
Tell us the meter model and we will confirm before you order. On the current 30-series meters the covers are interchangeable in fit.
